The average price of a gallon of gasoline in the USA is $2.75. Venngage has created this gas prices infographic to keep you up-to-date with current gasoline prices across each state and Washington, D.C. Venngage used data from AAA's Fuel Gauge Report, which surveys more than 100,000 self-serve stations nationwide every Monday. Venngage also included the price of gas in January of each year to see how prices have fluctuated over time. Venngage took the average price of gas in each state and divided it by the current average cost of a gallon of gasoline. Venngage then multiplied that number by 100 to get the percentage difference between January gas prices and today's prices. Venngage also included a bar graph to show how much gas prices have increased or decreased over time in each state.
